Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith review

Posted : 11 years, 3 months ago on 25 March 2006 01:59 (A review of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith)

Well…
I did enjoy it, and it filled in a few gaps.. but not really in as much detail as I might have liked. I feel pretty safe in discussing this without thinking I’m going to spoil the story for anyone, we all know that Anakin becomes Darth Vader. I just didn’t really feel what drove him to that. Yeah, it was described and explained and stuff.. it just didn’t feel as intense to me as what I’d expect for giving up your soul to the Dark Side.
So.. yes, a good book, but I think I was expecting more depth from it than it gave. It probably is just a “novelisation” of the movie, the movie in prose, I suppose.. I was expecting it to be the movie, expanded upon. Of course, I haven’t seen the movie yet so this is partially speculation.

Revenge Of The Sith - Star Wars Episode 3 Visual Dictionary (Star Wars Episode 3 S.) review

Posted : 11 years, 3 months ago on 25 March 2006 01:57 (A review of Revenge Of The Sith - Star Wars Episode 3 Visual Dictionary (Star Wars Episode 3 S.))

I didn’t fully read this, but I flipped through the pages and read about the characters and technology that I was interested in or had heard of. It’s quite a good book and provides some extra background to the series and probably also to Episode III (I’m still reading the novel at the time of writing this).
